Hørg is a computer-generated musical work from 1993 by Kom De Bagfra Orkesteret, first released on CD by Pingo Records (Pingo CD 007 - 1993). Now SpaceController Records has finally released the album digitally. It is available on most streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube.
Hørg is based on two concepts:
1. HARESKOVEN The mysterious grooved stones found in Harreskoven (and other forests) were used as inspiration for the CD. Some believe they originate from an Old Norse stone cult. Scattered throughout the forest floor are hundreds of large stones with grooves scratched through them. They give the forest a very special atmosphere.
2. GENERATED
The MIDI music on Hørg is completely computer-generated. All sounds are sampled sounds from natural objects found in the forest.
